Recently, Guangzhou fired the first shot in digital new infrastructure, with AGV at the dock receiving much attention. The Guangzhou Port Company stated that it will utilize the globally created "unmanned driving technology applied to intelligent container trucks" to build a fully automated terminal in the Greater Bay Area.
This also indicates that under the new infrastructure, heavy-duty AGVs have ushered in a wave of development boom. Heavy duty AGVs are characterized by their large size and high load-bearing capacity, and can automate the processing, manufacturing, and handling of large objects. In some heavy machinery factories, railway transportation, special industries, ports and airports, large voltage transformer factories, heavy vehicle manufacturing plants, and other places, large tonnage AGVs are needed to meet the requirements.
In the past two years, with the expansion of the application field of heavy-duty AGV, some enterprises have also developed related products. However, compared to light-duty AGVs, heavy-duty AGVs face higher technical conditions (working accuracy, control systems) and supporting facilities, with significantly different design structures and component selection standards. Therefore, when enterprises enter the field of heavy-duty AGVs, the R&D and production thresholds are relatively high.
However, there are still some heavy-duty AGV manufacturers in China that have achieved good results.
Hunan Chizhong
Chizhong AGV products have been successfully applied in major automobile manufacturers such as Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai Automotive, SAIC General Motors, SAIC GM Wuling, GAC Fiat, Yanfeng Biou, and other large automobile, electronic, and component manufacturers.
The Chizhong Robot 200T heavy-duty AGV has a size of 6 * 8m and a load weight of 200T. It has 4 drive units to achieve forward, backward, and lateral movement (omnidirectional walking), with a climbing ability of not less than 5%. The ground roughness is 20mm, the groove width is 30mm, the driving accuracy is ± 30mm, the lifting platform accuracy is ± 5mm, the waterproof level is IP57, and the safety and explosion-proof level is IIC. It can achieve both manual and automatic operation modes.
The smooth development, production, and use of the 200T heavy-duty AGV can comprehensively improve the long-term backwardness of China's heavy-duty industrial mobile robots compared to European and American countries, and greatly promote the widespread application of this equipment in fields such as wind turbines, port logistics, shipbuilding, and aircraft manufacturing.
Aijiwei
At present, Aijiwei's heavy-duty AGV can withstand a weight of about five tons with high energy. They have application cases from Dongfeng Motor and mature scientific research technology.
Suzhou Aijiwei Robot Co., Ltd. was established in December 2011. The company's independently developed AGV product line for handling robots includes the non reflective laser AGV series with US and national invention patents, as well as integrated solutions for intelligent factory information logistics software such as WMS, WCS, RFID, etc.
In the past two years, many factories have undergone intelligent upgrades and transformations, and the demand for laser forklifts and AGVs has increased. The market growth is relatively fast - Aijiwei AGV focuses on the construction and transformation of intelligent logistics systems, and its products have been widely used in industries such as tires, automobiles, clothing and textiles, 3C electronics, home appliances, and machinery manufacturing. The market is spread throughout the country and exported to Europe and America.
Kaiyun Lai
Kaiyunlai heavy-duty load-bearing AGV adopts Japanese precision DC brushless motor, which changes the previous disadvantage of poor positioning accuracy of heavy-duty AGVs. At the same time, it adopts comprehensive safety measures such as Beiyang laser obstacle avoidance sensor and safe edge contact, greatly improving the safety performance of the product.
The characteristic of Kaiyunlai 5-ton heavy-duty AGV is that the driving wheels can ensure a certain degree of pressure even when encountering uneven road surfaces, reducing slipping and expanding the use of navigation vehicles. In addition, due to the use of imported branded products as the core components, Kaiyunlai heavy-duty load-bearing AGV has excellent reliability.
Zhenhua Heavy Industry
Zhenhua Heavy Industry started with port machinery and has an environmentally friendly, safe, and efficient fully automated container terminal loading and unloading system. It uses double 40 foot container shore bridges, fully automated distribution systems, and automated track cranes, greatly improving the efficiency of terminal loading and unloading.
Port terminals are currently a major focus area for outdoor AGV applications, and compared to ordinary AGVs, the heavy-duty AGV technology used in port terminals has more stringent requirements.
Taking the Yangshan Port Phase IV terminal completed by Zhenhua Heavy Industry as an example, from the moment the container leaves the cargo ship, 10 bridge cranes, 40 track cranes, and 50 AGV automatic navigation trucks start synchronously. Guided by 61483 ground magnetic nails, the AGV carries containers towards the target container area. The terminal loading and unloading operation adopts a production plan of "remote control of double trolley container bridge crane+track crane+AGV", mainly composed of automated loading and unloading equipment for terminal loading and unloading, horizontal transportation, and yard loading and unloading, as well as an automated terminal production control system.
Aggregation automation
As an emerging force in the field of logistics robots, Shanghai has previously focused more on aerospace and military industries, aviation manufacturing, rail transit, and other areas. In addition, the Mecanum wheel of Jiji is also its flagship product, but in recent years, Jiji has shifted its focus to the logistics AGV field.
So the heavy load AGV with centralized automation has the ability to move freely in a two-dimensional plane, including straight, horizontal, diagonal, arbitrary curve movement, 360 ° stationary and other omnidirectional movement forms. It can be manually controlled by remote control with a precision of ± 0.1mm and automatically repositioned with a precision of ± 0.5mm. 8359 Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology
Recently, the heavy-duty AGV (omnidirectional intelligent mobile platform) of 8359 Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation received the CE full directive certificate issued by the EU certification body, indicating that the "high-precision, large load" heavy-duty AGV has met the relevant requirements of EU laws and regulations in design, manufacturing, process quality control, safety, stability, risk control, etc., and meets the safety certification access requirements of the European market.
It is reported that since 2011, 8359 Institute has independently developed an omnidirectional intelligent mobile platform based on Mecanum wheel technology. The platform adopts fully electric multi wheel drive and can achieve flexible movement in all directions through precise coordinated control of multi Mecanum wheel speed and steering.
The project leader introduced that recently, the heavy-duty AGV product passed the acceptance smoothly and was delivered to Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for the transportation of C929 wide body fuselage wall panels. At present, 8359 large tonnage and large-sized AGV products are fully capable of competing with similar international advanced products.
